In January 2026, we became independent from Proterial Ltd. and began a new chapter as Mirai Casting Holdings, Ltd.
Together with our valued stakeholders, we look forward to growing and advancing together as we pursue our mission of becoming a company that “creating the future through casting and materials.”
While this marks a new beginning, our roots trace back to 1910 with the founding of Tobata Foundry Co.
For more than a century, we have cultivated technologies and expertise in research, material science, product design, engineering and manufacturing—combined with the trust established with customers and partners around the world.
And at the core of these strengths are our people, whose knowledge and passion have been the driving force behind our success and remain our greatest assets.

    • Started a Machining & Assembly Joint Venture (JV) in Effingham, Illinois USA
      (Acquired the JV in 2002, renamed as HMAC in 2008)
  2. 2005
    • Consolidate casting iron manufacturing to Moka Works from Kyushu Works
    • Kyushu Works focus on stainless steel casting production
  3. 2013
    • Started automotive casting technology and sales partnership with VIKAS Group in India
  4. 2014
    • Invested 51% capital in RPS VIKAS Castings Pvt.Ltd. and GarimaVikas Metals Pvt.Ltd.
  5. 2018
    • HNV established with merging RPS VIKAS and GarimaVikas Metals, acquired 100% share
  6. 2021
    • Transferred all business at the Kyushu Works to Kyushu Techno Metal, Ltd.

    • As the first modern malleables manufacturing facility in Japan, The Tobata Foundry Co. (former Tobata Works) was established in what is now Tobata Ward, Kitakyushu City.
  2. 1935
    • Changed company name to Kokusan Industries, Ltd.

    • Merger with Hitachi, Ltd.
